Love is the most incredible, important, and necessary emotion. Without it, mental illness, health complications, and overall sadness can be formed. Many people who suffer from lack of love turn to drugs or other substances to combat its deadening effects.
My question is, “How we can open ourselves up to providing a little more love to each other and the world?”
Have you ever felt so in love that you feel like you want to explode. You want to spend every waking second with that person, and you cannot imagine your life without them. Or have you ever looked around at a family or friend gathering and thought to yourself, “How lucky am I to have all of these wonderful people in my life that I love so much!”
These are just a couple of instances in my life that I could feel the love, but I have also had times where I feel lonelier than ever.
Have you ever felt like no one cares about you, or that the world would be a far better place if you were not in it?
I have struggled with these feelings and I know that many others have and still do today. The only way that many people cope with feeling not worthy is to mask their emotions by turning to drugs, alcohol, food, and many other negative coping mechanisms.
This does not help; it only continues to deepen the hole.
If only there was a way to stop this cycle. After some soul searching, I continue to come back to love. The best solution that I could come up with is to make sure that anyone that I come into contact with feels cared for and heard.
This could be a game changer. If everyone in the world would make the same commitment. Many people could be helped before it is too late.
I’m not asking for you to understand why people that feel the way they do. And there is a good chance that you have never felt this way.
If you have never felt this way, you have most likely received a lot of love. I am asking that you take some of that love and pass it down. “Life without love, is no life at all.” Leonardo Da Vinci
