Simply Overcoming Insecurities

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for joining me! This week has been an emotional week and I am excited to talk to you about what has surfaced.

Have you ever had something that you were insecure about? How has this affected your life? There are so many underlying issues that so many of us experience.

These emotions can range from not believing you’re good enough, to feeling that you are not worthy of living life.

Unfortunately, these insecurities can not only hinder your progress in life, but can make you feel paralyzed. I not only wanted to the address the issue, but I wanted to fix it!

Recently, I realized that I have an issue with not feeling loved. I have always known that I have had unsubconscious thoughts regarding this problem, but I always put on a hard shell and told myself that I did not care if people cared about me or not.

Of course, that is not true. Have you ever tried to cover up your feelings to protect yourself? Although, it does work to protect the wound, it does nothing to heal it.

Next, I began to address how it was affecting my life. Most recently, I believe it has stalled my blogging process. I have been having a heck of time getting likes and comments on my blog and I was not sure why.

I began to doubt myself and question why I was working so hard to put out all of this material if no one cared. After some time of reflection, I realized that issue was something that I needed to fix internally.

Have you ever been or are you insecure about something that has or is disturbing your life?

I began to think about where these thoughts were coming from. I encourage you to try this as well. Sit down and really think about why you don’t think you are smart enough, good enough, or whatever it is. All of sudden it hit me! In my family we have never been affectionate. No one ever says I love you and we rarely hug. This is something that has been passed down from generation to generation, and I am just as guilty, but fortunately that will stop here.

I sat down with my mom this morning and we had a long talk about why this is, and we came to the conclusion that the why wasn’t as important as fixing the problem. When I left I gave her a big hug, let her know I always have good intentions, and that I love her.

I also plan on thinking of some self-love mantras and surrounding myself with sticky notes that contain positive words of affirmations. I encourage you to do the same if you are struggling. Because you are amazing, you are worthy, and you are loved. This is new one for me as well, if you have tried anything that has worked to fix insecurities please leave it the comments.

And Thank You So Much for Loving and Supporting Me!!!!

Please feel free to comment or e-mail me if there is anything I can ever do to support you.

Much Love,
